A large part of our business is devoted to fault diagnosis & correction. We have invested heavily in the very latest equipment, to ensure that we are able to test & repair many of the vehicles that other garages are unable to. We repair a lot of vehicles for many other local garages, as well as for our long standing customer base. We have several pieces of 'Dealer' diagnostic equipment, as well as many aftermarket scan tools & oscilloscopes. Some of these are:
So as you can see from the list above, we are more than capable of testing and correctly diagnosing any faults that may arise with your motor vehicle. We get many requests for Engine Management testing, but we also test & correct many SRS, ABS, Immobiliser, Body Controller & Air Conditioning faults as well. We could list many other systems that we have been asked to test & repair, but to be honest, the list would go on & on. As many people will already know, our motto has always been " We Test & Not Guess" As this is exactly how we like to look at every job that we get to work on. All too many people start to fit unnecessary costly parts that are not required, simply by not testing or understanding the actual system fitted to the vehicle. Our approach is different! We carry out a set number of tests to determine the fault with the vehicle, we then contact the vehicle owner to advise them on the cost of repair & to seek authorisation to finish the repair. Our labour charge for this type of service is: £47.50 per hour which is subject to vat at the standard rate.
Another request that we get a lot of, is Emission Correction for MOT failures. This is one of our VERY specialist fields of expertise. As you may have already read on one of the previous pages, we have the ASNU injection testing & correction bench. Using this test bench to service petrol injectors is an invaluable part of emission correction. Using the very latest high-tech 4 gas emission analyzers is another. Of course, understanding gas analysis is essential to be able to correct many emission related faults. Without a proper understanding of the readings given out by the analyzer, correcting emission related faults can become very difficult. This is achieved after many years of experience and on- going training. Without either of these, there is a chance that emission faults may not be corrected successfully, this in turn can lead to very costly repair bills. If you have any queries about MOT emission failures or any other faults in general, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
